My honourable audience, I have a question for you. To your mind, how many men are simultaneously able to stare at a girl who is replacing the Hedgehog’s flat tire under the heavy rain?
Let me tell you – it takes all the males currently present at the site!
And it’s not a question of sexism, not at all. The thing is – so you don’t want to help, you’re free to go and mind your own business. No, they laugh, point fingers, sit around and watch how am I going to cope with the situation… But the show is over, when a man of about 50 gets out of his old Zhiguli and helps me. Well, it really is a heavy tire – the hands start falling off before one is able to place it on the pins. And it’s not only my case. And on the top of it – everything is wet and slippery from the rain.
As a matter of fact, I usually stop near every car with emergency lights on (unless it is obvious that a person is just waiting for someone) and ask if any help is needed. And it was more than once when the help was really necessary. For instance, today I drove a few extra km to come back to the cruiser that was standing in the middle of the road. Fortunately someone else was already helping him. Because at times one may wait for half an hour or more, and no one stops. Come on, people, don’t you ever need help?
When I finally reached the service place, it appeared that my altai tire had a leakage on the border with the disk. It happened because the flash form the factory was heavily stuffed with mud and water.
A few minutes of work with the disk grinder with a brush and everything is great again )))
