Меджибізька фортеця має довгу і багату історію. Перші згадки про неї зустрічаються ще за часів існування укріпленого міста Рюрикович, який виник близько 1146 року. Ця фортеця пережила безліч облог і реконструкцій. І зараз переживає чергову.
